“A detailed character glossary inspired by the dark fantasy universe of The Witcher, combining illustration, layout, and editorial design in a personal tribute to the saga.”

Project Description
This editorial project was created as a personal exploration and tribute to the The Witcher universe. The goal was to create a visual and narrative glossary of main characters from the saga, using a consistent and immersive design language that reflects the mood and aesthetics of the story.
The project mixes handmade illustration, symbolic composition, and typographic layout, drawing on the gothic and medieval influences of the franchise while maintaining readability and structure.
Context & Visual Approach
This project allowed me to merge my love for storytelling and editorial design with fantasy illustration. It strengthened my skills in managing layout consistency, narrative voice, and symbolic visual execution within a cohesive design system.

Selection of a muted and dramatic color scheme, alongside serif and decorative fonts, to reinforce the medieval and dark fantasy tone of the project.

▮ Symbol, landscape & flag illustrations
Custom artwork to represent realms, cultures, and magical elements within The Witcher universe, enriching the lore visually.

▮ Final artwork & mockups
Polished, print-ready editorial layouts and digital mockups presenting the final product as a cohesive and collectible lore piece.

Outcome & Experience
Each elemental was studied and interpreted to convey their essence through visual symbols, textures, and expressive details. The glossary format was chosen to present the information in a clear, collectible and reference-like manner, as if it were part of a lore book.
The illustrations, in black and white, aim to evoke an ancient and mysterious feel, fitting with the dark and magical tone of the source material.
